We are called to be good stewards of these gifts – to use them to help build up His Kingdom on Earth and to provide for others who are less fortunate. As Christian stewards, we are asked to use our time and talents to advance the ministry of the Church and to use a portion of our treasure for the Lord’s work.
We all are invited to support our parish and our local community. There are many ways to do this: through weekly donations, special collections, crisis and disaster relief efforts, bequests, gifts of stock, and more.

A planned gift will not only involve some thoughtful planning and discussions with loved ones, but should involve advice from competent financial consultants and/or legal counsel. Planned gifts can result in an immediate donation, a donation that is distributed over a period of time, or occur when you or a family member passes away. Planned gifts are varied. One popular form of planned gift is a bequest from your Will. Another popular form is a gift of securities such as stocks, bonds, mutual funds or GICs. Other forms include life insurance, RRSPs and RRIFs, real estate and more.
In 1978, Mrs. Mary Merrill planned giving the parish $360, 000.00 and asked that it would be dedicated to build the Parish Hall, which was erected in loving memory of her late husband, Mr. Fred W. Merrill.
